Pope Benedict XVI meets German Muslim leaders

Pope Benedict XVI met with top German Muslim leaders Friday, emphasizing the importance of the values shared between the two religions in an increasingly secularized society.

In the closed-door meeting in Berlin before the pope left the capital for the eastern city of Erfurt, Benedict told more than a dozen Muslim leaders that he understood the "great importance" Muslims placed on the religious dimension of life.

Interfaith dialogue ambassador works to share her Jordanian experience with the world

One young Jordanian is working to share her experience in interfaith tolerance and dialogue in the Kingdom with the rest of the world.

Fresh graduate Ayah Alfawaris has represented Jordan at international summits, speaking as an ambassador for interfaith dialogue.

In 2010, she was one of three young Jordanian delegates who participated in the One Young World (OYW) international summit in London, where discussions covered six impact areas, one of which was interfaith dialogue.

Muslims still showing solidarity: Peace Islands Institute Commemorated 9/11

Feeling the pain of victims and families of 9/11 and the pain caused as the result of distorted image of Islam, Peace Islands Institute volunteers participated in several 9/11 commemoration programs in New Jersey at Dumont High School, Allwood Community Church in Clifton, Notre Dame Church in North Caldwell and Mayo Community Theater in Morristown.
